Ankerside Shopping Centre
The Ankerside Shopping centre in Tamworth, Staffordshire have today launched their very own consumer facing recycling scheme, placing a number of our torpedo recycling units throughout the centre, in a joint partnership project with Britvic Soft Drinks and the plastics consultancy Recoup to increase the recycling of used plastic bottles and cans. The aim of the Britvic scheme is to directly engage with consumers and encourage them to think about how they dispose of their plastic and can packaging whilst they are in the centre. This scheme has been jointly funded by Britvic and Ankerside. There are 3 pivotal points of recycling within the centre complex which are distinctly different from the general waste bins which are deployed around the centre.
Ankerside boasts a footfall of in excess of 6 million consumers per annum, so it is hoped that the visibility around the scheme will be both engaging and influencing.
