Wheelchair Ramp for Sackholders
Infection control is an important issue
Our clinical waste sackholders are great because they have a special anti-bacterial coating on them, and they are also available hands free. This means that a foot pedal is used to open the clinical waste sackholders, so no hands touch the lid – and germs are not passed on, this significantly reduces the risk of cross infection. But what about wheelchair users? How can they operate a hands free sackholder?
This is a problem we have now solved with our new wheelchair ramp. This ramp fixes to the pedal of a sackholder and when a wheel rolls over it, the sackholder opens – allowing the sackholder to remain untouched by any hands. Not only does this ramp work for wheelchair users, but the pedal can still be operated in the normal way. This ramp can be added to any standard sackholder (42, 70, 80 & 98 Litres) – just add /WR to your order!
Please note that the Wheelchair ramp cannot be used on duo sackholders, or our 15 0r 28 litre sackholders
