Wybone’s a family run business that was established by Mr. Charles E Wyatt in 1969. These days his son Richard is managing director but the principles with which the company was founded still stand strong today.
Wybone designs and manufacturers street furniture including litter bins, recycling bins, grit bins and clinical waste bins. In a climate where UK manufacturing has seen a rapid decline, we’re proud to say we make 97% of all our products.
As we do so much in-house we are uniquely placed to offer a bespoke service to meet a wide range of requirements. If you want to put your logo on our bin, we can do that, if you want a bench in a specific colour, we can do that or if you want us to design a new feature for a recycling unit, we can do that. Our motto is, if you don’t ask you don’t get. Why don’t you challenge us!
Our tailor-made service has a direct impact on cost with customers able to make savings because they’re dealing direct. It also means the company can oversee and guarantee the quality of everything before it leaves the factory, ensuring client satisfaction.
As a manufacturer the business is always looking for new and inventive methods to reduce its impact on the environment. Using the latest and most efficient equipment means products not only stand the test of time but also benefit from having a small carbon footprint.

Wybone was founded on four key principles and we still live by them today:

We strive to design and manufacture ‘best of breed’ products that can stand the test of time. We’re proud that we have products in use that are 25 years old and more but they’re still up to the job. Here at Wybone we’re constantly looking at ways to do thing better and smarter but without ever compromising on quality.

On every level we’re passionate about what we do and that begins with the design process. Our team of designers have an imaginative way of working but coupled with a desire to meet customer requirements. We collaborate with our clients and offer a flexibility rarely seen, so that everyone comes away happy. We quiet literately break the mould and start from scratch. We listen to what you want.
Reliability
This is at the very core of what we do and by ensuring we deliver on our promises, we create long term relationships built on trust and respect. Due to this we get repeat business because we aim to be the best at what we do and exceed customer expectations.
Efficiency
From the office to the factory and beyond we make a conscious effort to be as efficient as possible. This isn’t just driven by cost, although when we make savings we can pass them onto our customers, it comes from a desire to reduce our impact on the environment. Just one example of this is our glass fibre composite litter bins which are manufactured from 65% renewable resources and we are currently hard at work to increase this percentage so it's even higher.
